A book published by Mutalib M.D. a basis for SAPP to present a memorandum urging the government to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI)
KOTA KINABALU (BORNEOPOST): Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Youth chief Edward Dagul yesterday handed over to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman a memorandum urging the Federal Government to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants in Sabah.
The memorandum which was addressed to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, said an RCI was necessary to resolve the perennial illegal immigrant problems affecting Sabah.
It also said that the setting up of the RCI was imperative based on several facts such as the abuse of the country’s sovereignty and constitution by certain quarters who had issued Malaysian citizenship to foreigners through the so-called “Project IC”.
Other supporting factors included a book published by Mutalib MD and testimonials by individuals who had claimed to know of the identities of persons involved in the issuance of MyKads to illegal immigrants under the project.
According to Dagul, the memorandum was made in order to protect the pride and honour of Sabahans as well as the country’s sovereignty.
